
Michael E. Twomey has been practicing for more than thirty years with extensive experience in commercial law and litigation, including contracts and business matters, corporate governance and dissolution disputes, products liability, employment law and environmental, toxic torts and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Twomey was admitted to the New York bar in 1975; attended Princeton University (A.B., magna cum laude, 1971) and Fordham University (J.D. 1974), where he was Notes Editor of the Fordham Law Review. Mr. Twomey is currently a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Federal Bar Council, and the American Bar Association (Litigation Section; Labor & Employment Law Section; Tort & Insurance Law Section). Gary Hoppe has thirty years of trial and appellate experience in business litigation and transactional matters, including contract, tort, employment, regulatory, professional liability and intellectual property litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and matters concerning corporate acquisitions and financial transactions. He has argued numerous appeals in state and federal courts and served as law clerk to the Hon. Judith S. Kaye, now Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals. Mr. Hoppe was admitted to the bar in New York in 1978, graduated from the State University of New York Teachers College at Oswego (B.A., summa cum laude, 1974) and Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1977). He is a member of and a lecturer on practice topics for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (Committee on State Courts of Superior Jurisdiction, 1981-83; Committee on Professional and Judicial Ethics, 1985-87 and 1994-96; Committee on Professional Discipline, 1988-1991; and Special Committee on Litigation, 1996-1999), and the Litigators Club. Alan Gallanty has been practicing for twenty-five years in the fields of complex commercial litigation, including in the areas of professional liability and employment; corporate and financial transactional matters; and real estate and real estate financing. He was admitted to the bar in New York in 1983 and in Connecticut in 2002 and is admitted to the federal district courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut, and the Second and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeal. Alan graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton (B.A., Special Academic Commendation, 1979) and Duke University School of Law (J.D. 1982) and is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (Litigation Section; Committee on Professional Liability). Alan serves as the Legal Editor of the American Land Institute for Continuing Education and has taught on numerous CLE faculties on topics including “Green Buildings”, American Land Institute (October 2007), “Ethical Issues in the Practice of Real Estate”, New York City Bar Association (January 2007), “Litigation and Ethical Issues Arising Out Of Residential Real Estate Transactions in New York”, American Land Institute (May 2006), and “Year 2000 Due Diligence in the Acquisition of a Business”, Practising Law Institute (August 1999). Alan also served on the advisory board of COMcenter LLC (a firm specializing in disaster recovery and co-location) and is the author of a New York Law Journal article entitled “A Rule 43(e) Hearing: An Alternative Approach to Summary Judgment in Complex Litigation.” John J. (Jack) Hughes has been practicing for over twenty-five years in the areas of real estate, corporate and transactional matters, e-commerce and emerging companies. Mr. Hughes has been managing partner at the law firm of Moskowitz, Altman & Hughes, a New York City based firm specializing in corporate and securities laws, Vice President and General Counsel of an NASD listed technology company, and been a principal of a business consulting firm specializing in providing practical business solutions to companies in need of a change in focus and direction. Mr. Hughes graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York (B.A. 1977) and Fordham University Law School (J.D. 1981). Vincent S. Tirola received his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 1959 and attended law school at New York University, receiving both his LL.B and his LL.M while graduating Phi Delta Phi. Mr. Tirola was admitted to the District of Columbia bar in 1962 and to the Connecticut bar in 1964. He practices in the areas of business and corporate law, real estate and banking law, and has been active as an academic lecturer, including teaching "The Legal Environment" at Sacred Heart University Graduate School and lecturing on the topic of "Real Property" at the New York University School of Law. Mr. Tirola's involvement with his community includes serving as: Justice Of The Peace of Westport, Connecticut from 1970-1974, on the Westport Zoning Board Of Appeals from 1968-1970, and as a board member of the Connecticut Theatre Foundation from 1976-1984. Mr. Tirola holds membership in The Federalist Society; The National Panel Of Arbitrators, The American Arbitration Association, The District of Columbia Bar; and The Connecticut Bar Association. Elizabeth C. Seeley received her Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1960. She attended the University of Virginia where she received her LL.B in 1963. Ms. Seeley was admitted to the bar in Connecticut in 1963. Ms. Seeley practices in the areas of corporate and business law, banking law and commercial real estate. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and has served on the Executive Committee of Corporations and Business Organizations Section, and on the Committee of Commercial Leasing of the American Bar Association. Charles P. Costanzo is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law (J.D. 2006). His practice areas focus on real estate, commercial litigation, corporate transactional matters and intellectual property. Charles is a 1998 graduate of Colby College (B.A., History, 1998). He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 2006, and passed the New York bar in 2006 (New York admission pending). Charles is an advisor to several companies including Shalgo, LLC (an apparel and fashion accessories manufacturer). Charles has been a member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board and is currently a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. |
